Netrek wont open on my windows 8 comp.

Does anyone no how to get the server list to open on Netrek on my windows 8 comp. the server box flashes open then close. Plz help I loved this game when I played it 4 years ago!!!

Right click on the netrek binary file (.exe) and select Properties then
click on Compatibility and click the box where it says to "Run this program
in compatibility mode for:" and try XP or Windows 7. Also click on "Run
this program as an administrator".
See if that works.
